Beneteau First 35

As well as the 30E, Jean Berret designed a complete range of yachts including the First 32, First 38 and this First 35. Although not as well known as the 30E or 32, she actually outsold both, topping 455 units. Based on a contemporary threequarter tonner, she had typical IOR lines but below decks she, like her sisters, set new standards for spacious accommodation. The interiors were built on internal mouldings, which allowed them to be assembled quickly and cheaply. With 10 bunks in four cabins, including pilotberths in the saloon, she also cemented the French reputation for squeezing as many people in a boat as possible.
