Berths wanted near Olympic Dock

Berth owners are being invited to offer their moorings for visitors during the 2012 London Olympics.

Olympic authorities want berths that are close to the Olympic Dock, which lies within Canary Wharf and is less than two miles from the Olympic Park.

Gareth Stephens, harbour manager, said: ‘We’ve already had significant interest about mooring opportunities during the Olympic summer and are now inviting owners and brokers to formally register their interest for berthing during 2012.

‘The docks are a transport hub, enabling easy access to central London and the Olympic Park, with river services, tube, DLR and road connections – and then there are the bars, restaurants and shops of Canary Wharf which are also on-hand for visitors.’
