A capable coastal cruiser, the

F-27 can be kept on a trailer

and launched in 30 minutes.

With top speeds of 20 knots,

she is exhilarating to sail

and makes a good passage

racer with a fit and fearless

crew of two or three aboard.

Below decks, headroom is at

a premium and all cruising

equipment was sold as

optional extras, but she can

be fitted out for a couple to

cruise in reasonable comfort.

There’s an aft cabin, accessed

via a hatch in the cockpit, and

two settees plus a small galley

in the main cabin. Some

have a proper heads in the

forepeak; others just have a

portable toilet.
