The largest of the Idylle range, which also included 10.50 and 13.50 models, was launched in 1984. She is a substantial and spacious cruising yacht of 50ft LOA. She was drawn by German Frers with a deep canoe body but moderate beam. The layout options put the master suite either forward or aft,
with two other double guest cabins and a twin-bunked crew cabin in the forepeak The saloon was very spacious. She has a slutter rig – two headsails are rigged, like a cutter, but only one should be
set, rather than both. In this confi guration, the sails are reasonably easy to handle. She makes a practical and relatively economical blue-water cruiser.
