Police apppeal for information after number of boats targeted

Police are appealing for information after thieves broke into a number of boats docked in harbours in Aberdeenshire last weekend, Fri 1 – Mon 4 June. Two trawlers berthed alongside the Balaclava Quay in Freaserburgh were targeted over the weekend.

Police said a quantity of alcohol and medicines were stolen between 1115 BST on Friday and 1030 BST on Monday. Meanwhile, a motorboat in Banff harbour marina was broken in to between Saturday and Monday. A number of items of fishing equipment were stolen.

Anyone with information regarding either incident has been asked to contact Grampian Police.
