World renowned marine photographer Philip Plisson has announced a one-off UK exhibition, ‘Ocean’, to showcase spectacular images from his new book of the same name. The exhibition will be held at the gallery at Oxo Tower Wharf, London, from 16 May to 3 June 2007, with iconic images from over 50 countries on show.

With over 42 books to his name, Plisson has travelled the world to capture the spirit of the sea in thousands of images. But the globe trotting artist has his reasons for choosing London for this show, he explains: “By exhibiting in London I am returning to the very place that gave me my passion for marine photography. Through my new book ‘Ocean’, I try to honour the sea through my gaze and I hope that visitors to the exhibition can share the illustrated emotions I feel, as I take them on a voyage between the sea and the sky.”
