Westerly Owners to have a stand at inaugural boat show

The UK’s largest owners association is set to have stand at the newest British boat show.

The Westerly Owners Association (WOA) will be at the inaugural Liverpool Boat Show, which takes place from April 29 to May 8 next year in the city’s Albert Dock.

Rob Mackenzie, director of boat show organisers, Marine Industry Events, said: ‘We are delighted to welcome WOA to the Liverpool Boat Show.

‘It is a great platform for the organisation to spread its wings in the north-west and add to its already impressive worldwide reach.’

The association was founded in 1966 and currently has more than 3,000 full members worldwide.

Bernard Clarke from WOA said: ‘This event will be a first for our association and an opportunity to take our boat show presence up to the north-west.

‘It will provide a great opportunity for our North Wales group and northern-based members to get involved, as well as providing a more convenient meeting point for our many members who live ‘north of Watford’.

‘Who knows, maybe some of our active Ireland group members will attend the show arriving by sea.

‘We are working closely with one of the Liverpool Boat Show organisers, John Goode, and being a proud Lancashire lad it would be great to see our Liverpool show’s stand and recruitment activities exceed that of the London or Southampton shows.’
