Open 50 champ tries hand at Class 40

Fujifilm, a Class 40 racing yacht, has been prepared for a major three-year campaign.  Built in Totnes, Devon, her first competitive event is the two-handed 4,000 mile, 2007 Transat Jacques Vabre Race, from Le Havre to Brazil.

Class 40 is a brand new racing rule which promotes top-level ocean racing without the major financial budgets necessary to campaign larger boats.

Her skipper is Alex Bennett, who won the Open 50 division of the Transat Jacques Vabre Race, in 2001 setting a new course record that he still retains.
