Solent Coastguard is urgently trying to locate a Sailfish 25 Ouzo after a man was found in the water early yesterday morning. Following media reports, a member of the public contacted the police and has now been able to identify the man.

A search is being conducted in the Solent area by all available rescue units. Regional Operations Manager Murray Milligan is urging anyone with information to contact the MCA: ‘We would like to hear from anyone who has seen the yacht he was on. It is a single masted yacht with a navy-blue fibreglass hull.’ Mr Milligan reported that the yacht was due to leave Bembridge, Isle of Wight on Sunday 20 August, heading to Dartmouth.
