Relief for yachtsmen entering New Zealand

A floating public loo will be launched in the Bay of Islands this year. Mounted on a barge, the sea-borne drop loo with holding tanks is aimed at providing relief for visiting international yachties seeking to enter New Zealand through Opua. More than 400 vessels cleared Opua last year, and the loo will be available for crews of incoming boats awaiting Customs and biosecurity clearance.
