Scuttlebutter Dyflin went online to flag up this video of yachts attempting a short cut during this year’s Tjörn Runt, a race around the Swedish island of Tjörn that took place on 15 August.

Fortunately Tjörn is just south of Orust, the boat building hot spot that is home to Najad, Hallberg-Rassy, CR Yachts, Malö and Regina, to name just a few.

Wonder if they deal with repairs too…?
