Kent yachtsmen lose £100,000 yacht off Sicily

Two British sailors were rescued last Thursday, March 1 after their 40ft yacht struck rocks and sank off Sicily. Owner John Bowdery, 53, and friend Chris Selby, 60, both from Kent, were en route to Corfu from Malta when they collided with rocks in rough seas off Capo Passero, Sicily. The pair sent a Mayday when the £100,000 Deep Secret began taking in water and were picked up by coastguards, who later towed the yacht back into harbour.
