320 sailing venues across the UK will offer people of all ages and abilities the opportunity to get out on the water to between 9 and 17 May 2015.

RYA Push the Boat Out is a nationwide event which will see clubs and centres opening their doors to offer free or low cost sailing and windsurfing Œ’have a go’ taster sessions. This year, for the first time, the event will be run over nince days, with the aim of introducing as many people as possible to the sport.

RYA Club Support Advisor Jackie Bennetts explained, ‘We’re delighted to have so many clubs and centres signed up for this year’s PTBO which we hope will inspire even more people to get afloat.

‘With two weekends and five weekdays there will be even more events showcasing what our sport has to offer from the freedom of being on the water to the fact that sailing really is inclusive and accessible.’

Open days and taster sessions will vary depending on the venue. Members of the public just need to bring suitable clothing, soft soled shoes – and a waterproof depending on the weather. Everything else will be provided by the club or centre. Some events will require booking in advance.
