London commuter alerts lifeboat to struggling sailors

Two yachtsmen struggling in icy water after their dinghy capsized were rescued by lifeboat after a London commuter spotted them from his train and used his mobile to call for help!

The eagle-eyed commuter was on a train which had pulled out of Victoria Station and was crossing Grosvenor Rail Bridge when he saw the hapless sailors.

Two RNLI E-Class lifeboats sped to the scene at 45 knots, but the pair were eventually rescued by their club’s rsecue launch.
