Yacht charter tycoon shot repeatedly

British yachting tycoon Andreas Liveras, 73, is among the 143 dead in the Mumbai terror attack. His bullet-riddled body was found in the Taj Mahal hotel by police officers.

Liveras ran Liveras Yachts from Monte Carlo, but was a resident of Newark, Notts. The self-made millionaire had been in Mumbai for a boat show.

The Cypriot-born businessman was carrying two passports: one from the island of his birth and the other from the country of his residence. It was the latter which is believed to have killed him as gunmen, thought to be linked to al-Qaeda, forced hostages to identify themselves in their bid to slay US and UK citizens.
