Yachting businessmen sought in race for cash

Fat cat bosses are being sought to fund a race to help disadvantaged inner city children. Already Sunsail UK, is providing its Plymouth fleet of Jeanneau Sunfast 36ft yachts for the event.

They are also offering a free corporate yachting day to the business that raises the most money for the race to be held in Plymouth Sound on Friday 3rd October 2003.

Torquay management consultants Quaestus Consulting are organising the race to raise thousands of pounds for a Devon based children’s charity called CHICKS. Since its formation in 1992 over 3,000 disadvantaged children from all over the UK have benefited from holidays provided by the charity.

Any organisation or business can enter a team and Quaestus Consulting is looking for 14 businesses to enter crews of seven. Each team pays an entry fee of ‘490 for the yacht while skipper and crew are to raise a minimum of ‘500 between them in sponsorship.

For further details and an application form please contact Nicola Burch at Quaestus Consulting on 01803 299740 or email charitychallenge@quaestus.co.uk.

Devon based charity Country Holidays for Inner City Kids, also known as CHICKS, will benefit from all monies raised from the charity day. Since CHICKS formation in 1992 over 3,000 disadvantaged children from all over the UK have benefited from the respite breaks provided by them.
