Helicopter winchman Billy Deacon who died during a search and rescue mission six years ago has been honoured by Maurice Storey, chief executive of the Maritime & Coastguard Agency.

Storey named a new training centre after Deacon. It is based in Highcliffe in Dorset.

Deacon, based in the Shetlands, was posthumously awarded the George Medal for his heroism.
