Sport Relief fund raiser

Yachtsmen are being offered the chance to sail with ocean racing legends Dee Caffari and Mike Golding in a bid to raise £10,000 for the charity Sport Relief on Saturday 13th March.

Sunsail are offering 720 people a place on one of their 25 Sunfast 37s for £10 each. The boats will sail a mile on a rotational basis: a boat will leave Gunwharf Quays every fifteen minutes between 0700 and 1800 on the day.

There are four berths on each of the Sunfast 37s sailed by Dee and Mike and whoever pledges the highest bid will secure these places.

Visit www.sunsail.co.uk/sport-relief/auction or call 0844 463 6704 to place your bid on either Dee or Mike’s yacht.

‘I’m really pleased to be a part of this fantastic event that Sunsail have organised. Sport Relief helps out a lot of disadvantaged people both here in the UK and overseas, and I can’t think of a better way to raise money for them than spending a couple of hours out on the water’, said, Dee Caffari, MBE.

The public can secure a spot on one of the yachts for a minimum donation of just £10, which goes directly to Sport Relief. Alternatively for a donation of £950 you can have the whole yacht for the day, skipper included, to do as you wish… after completing the mile.

Sunsail and Gunwharf Quays are donating their resources and operations so that every pound donated at the Sailing Mile goes directly to Sport Relief.
