Princess Anne will open the Weymouth & Portland Sailing Academy on 9 June just a month before London’s civic chiefs find out whether the capital or Paris host the 2012 Olympics.

Should London become the chosen city, the Olympic sailing events will take place at the Academy on the Isle of Portland.
