Up to 350 boats

Up to 350 boats have been entered for the 44th Fastnet Race, which is a record.The race, which starts from Cowes on Sunday 14th August, will see competitors from 14 different countries. One third of the fleet comprises of boats less than 40ft LOA.

The 608nm race from Cowes to Plymouth via the Fastnet Rock off the south-east coast of Ireland is one of the biggest offshore classic races in the world.
 
The 100ft RAN will be back to defend her 2009 title and battle it out with ICAP Leopard and Rambler. Professional classes such as Volvo Open 70s, the IMOCA 60s, Class 40s and multihulls will also join amateurs in this iconic race.
