MCA joins forces with ROSPA in safety campaign

Of the 470 people who drown annually in the UK – 20 per cent of them die on the coast, the Maritime & Coastguard agency report.

Now the MCA has linked up with the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents and the RNLI to try and get the figue down.

They have launched a Sea Smart five point code: get trained, don’t drink, wear the correct safety gear, buckle up, is the area safe.
