Book launch of instant classic
Solo sailor Roger D. Taylor launched his latest book this weekend at the Royal Corinthian Yacht Club, Burnham-on-Crouch, Essex.
Roger held a 40-strong crowd in his hand as he read four excerpts from the Book MingMing and The Art of Minimal Ocean Sailing.
They hung on his every word as he described the strange visit paid to him by a vast school of whales; the moment he ‘discovered’ a new cetacean only to find out another observer had got there first and a description of why a barometer should be used as a leadline.
The book is fast becoming known as one of the best tomes ever written on any kind of sailing.
