June special

A bi-annual regatta at Milford Haven has been diaried for 7-14 June. Seafair Haven, which started in 2006, attracts classic vessels from throughout Europe ranging from 10ft home built dinghies to 100 ft tall ships.

With close links to the Semaine du Golfe festival in Brittany, Seafair allows visitors the opportunity to explore the waterway in the heart of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park from the dramatic coastline of St Annes Head to the nature reserves of the upper reaches with the option of joining one of the many escorted sails taking place during the week.

The week kicks off with a regatta, cider festival and opening party at the picturesque host port of Lawrenny from then on there is a nonstop itinerary of sailing and live music including the rare opportunity to spend the night anchored in the mill pond of the historic Pembroke Castle.

There will be a change of venue for the Bosuns Lunch when the fleet will sail upriver to the old coal port of Landshipping where lunch will be served in the grounds of The Big House which is currently undergoing a major restoration and has starred in BBC2’s Restoration Home with Caroline Quinten.
