Hundreds of yachtsmen will be shocked to learn that a Londoner, the first person in Britain to be charged with training to become a terrorist, used a base in the New Forest.

Yassin Mutegombwa, 22, is accused of receiving weapons training at a weekend camp in the New Forest at Matley Wood caravan and camping site in Lyndhurst.

The campsite was run by the Forestry Commission at the time of the alleged training.
