Yacthing Monthly reader photographs aftermath of Cyclone Oswald

Yachting Monthly reader Angela Jones is exploring the Pacific along the Australian coast aboard her 50′ Beneteau Oceanis Blizzard.

This was the scene that greeted her when she arrived at Airlie Beach before cruising on to the Whitsunday Islands. The devastation was caused by Cyclone Oswald.

‘The yachts had broken free from their moorings and many were completely wrecked.’ she reports.

‘Queensland suffered floods, too, following Oswald.’
