As if anyone needed telling Solent Coastguard are warning people not to jump into the sea from piers after two girls did just that and had to be rescued by the lifeboat.
The teenagers leapt from Southsea Pier in Hampshire and one of them suffered minor injuries in the fall.
The Coastguard point out that jumping from pieres, sea walls and jetties is dangerous because often the jumper has not assessed the depth.
