Prince Charles visits Findhorn to launch a new gig

Prince Charles has launched a 40ft, 10 oared, sail-training vessel, the Moray Gig, at Findhorn, Morayshire.

The boat will be used to help ‘socially disadvantaged’ people in the skills of leadership and teamwork.

The gig – called Bien Trouve – is named after the French brigantine which arrived in Findhorn in 1746 to support Bonnie Prince Charlie.
