Gipsy Moth IV was lovingly restored by UKSA following a campaign to save the yacht by Yachting Monthly editor Paul Gelder. In 2004, UKSA purchased Gipsy Moth IV and set about restoring the yacht, with plans to sail her around the world again, but this time taking young people from disadvantaged backgrounds as crew. Following circumnavigation, Gipsy Moth IV returned to UKSA in Cowes in June 2007 and is continuing to take young people on adventurous sailing experiences.
Now, for the first time ever it's your turn to get afloat Sir Francis Chichester's famous yacht. Sail on Gipsy Moth IV, the boat that broke so many records during Francis Chichester’s solo circumnavigation of the globe.
