How Do You Solve A Problem Like Marina?

BT OpenzoneSince BT Openzone announced its acquisition of Square Mile marina in March, bringing high speed wireless internet (Wi-Fi) access to 39 coastal and inland marinas in the UK and Jersey, use of the wireless network among the sailing community has been steadily increasing.  The BT Openzone network allows marina users to stay connected to email, the web, their company network, alongside gaming and VOIP applications from a growing number of Wi-Fi enabled devices.

BT Team EllenWith the sailing season now in full swing, Yachting Monthly is teaming up with BT Openzone to offer yachtsmen the opportunity to bring wireless connectivity to their own local marina - plus a year’s subscription to BT Openzone and Reeds Online Almanac publication for the winning reader. What’s more, the winners will be invited to meet Ellen MacArthur at Cowes Week, on Thursday 7th August, as a guest of BT.  So if you ever feel frustrated that you can't access the internet when you are sailing, make sure you keep your eyes peeled for the next issue of Yachting Monthly, out on 10 July, for details of how to enter this exciting competition.
