Hmm...
Index error is the last adjustable error to remove, not the first.
The first error to correct is for perpendicularity, not "quadrantal" error. This isn't usually caused by the frame of the sextant being "twisted", but by the index mirror not being perpendicular to the frame/arc. Having taken this out, correct for side error, then establish, or correct for, index error.
