Finnsailer 34

In 1977 the Finnish company Fiskars
launched a 38ft (8.5m) ketch as a more
performance orientated sister to its
existing range of long
keeled motorsailers.
The Finnsailer 34 is
a smaller version
which appeared a
year later.
Designed by
Hans Groop, she
has a fin and
skeg under
water profile
which allows
very capable
sailing
performance. The
original engine was
a 36hp Perkins
4.1 08. She has a
centre cockpit protected by a high doghouse and small aftercabin
giving a total of six to seven berths. There is a generous galley.
heads amidships and an outboard facing chart table. She is well
built and comfortable and a solid familycruiser.
