Contest 38S

This is a typical Contest of the early 1980s. Rigged as a ketch or a sloop, she majors in the virtues of solid, heavy displacement, substantially fitted interior and easy handling for family crews. The centrecockpit design allows for a spacious aft cabin with single and double bunks
and a small en suite heads. The saloon looks small but has ample stowage. The main heads is  forward and the forecabin rather cramped, but the trade-off is an excellent galley and huge chart table. She sports a shallow, winged keel as standard.

LOA 11.36m (37ft 3in), LWL 9.3m (30ft 6in), beam 3.66m (12ft), draught 1.40m (4ft 6in), displacement 8,490kg (18,716lb). Price guide: £55,000 to £95,000.
