Dick Durham steps aboard one of Dufour’s best sellers, the 36 Classic. Designed for family cruising, she’s fast enough for competitive sailors, too.
She's a good-looking, sweet-lined boat with a decent turn of speed, helped by her moderately pronounced rocker. This keeps her broad transom clear of the water even when she is heavily laden for long-distance cruising. The saloon is taken right to the interior beam, which increases her sense of space, with some cost in stowage room.
