New factory for wireless instruments firm

Tacktick, the Emsworth-based wireless electronics specialists, have opened a new company, Tacktick Sarl at Redon in France.

Tacktick wind, speed and depth instruments communicate with the transmitters and transducers via an intelligent network eliminating the need for wires and connections; the main cause of failure in marine electronics.

Display units can be either permanently mounted or in a detachable cradle for full portability and security and with no holes to cut, the displays can be mounted anywhere on the boat. All the units are fully sealed, waterproof displays capable of showing all forms of navigational data including GPS and chart plotter information. Each unit, including the wind transmitter is self-powered by solar panels charging internal power reserves for total self-sustainability.
