Insurance company warns Britain's growing number of millionaires are improperly covered

By the year 2010 Britain will be home to more than 750,000 millionaires and many of them will be ‘inadequately covered’ by insurance a US financial services company reveals.

Among these are yacht owners who face a ‘growing threat from criminal acts’ according to Richard Hawkins, vice-president of AIG Private Client Group.

At the moment there are 571,000 millionaires in Britain – 299,300 of them women and 271,700 men. AIG can arrange cover for all of them including policies for kidnap and ransom, they say.
