The skipper of a fishing vessel has been choppered to hospital suffering burns and smoke inhalation

The skipper of a Brixham trawler has been air-lifted to hospital suffering from burns and smoke inhalation after fighting a fire in his engine room.

The beam trawler Sarah Louise is adrift without power. Four other members of the crew are assessing the damage.

The 23m vessel was 11 miles south west of Bolt Head near Salcombe, Devon.
