Schooner to receive rapturous reception in Antigua

The 62ft schoonerMaggie Bis set to arrive in Antigua to a rapturous reception in April. The schooner, designed by Nigel Irens, is nearing the end of her maiden voyage, and when she arrives will be met by a reception party to celebrate her circumnavigation.

Built in Canada by Covey Island Boatworks in 2006, the ‘modern classic’ centreboarder will complete her round-the-world trip at this April’s Antigua Classic Yacht Regatta. Maggie B is a fascinating blend of old and new design, and her builders have described her voyage as ‘exemplary’ – their admiration boosted no doubt by her frequent daily runs of over 200 miles.
