Following the closure of Trident Marine in November 2001, Northshore Yachts Limited, the builders of the Vancouver, Southerly and Fisher ranges, have acquired the tooling and manufacturing rights to the Warrior 40 and Voyager 40 models.

The Warrior 40 in particular has a well-established reputation as a serious long distance cruising yacht. More than 130 boats have been built since the introduction of this Angus Primrose design, with many completing extended ocean passages including the ARC and Blue Water rallies.

Northshore intend to continue to offer the boats in various stages of build for subsequent home completion, from bare hull and deck mouldings to a ‘Sailaway’ configuration where all an owner has to do is fit the interior joinery. Northshore will also offer completed yachts, launched, commissioned and handed over afloat at their Itchenor yard.

James Course, Northshore’s Managing Director commented, “?we have never been particularly active in the home build market, the Warrior 40 has an excellent track record and provides an ideal platform for anyone looking for a substantial and safe long distance cruising yacht on a limited budget. Home completion also provides customers with the opportunity to bespoke the interior of their yacht to suit individual cruising needs, at a fraction of the cost of custom building.”
