Sailors around Chichester need no longer keep a nervous eye on the sky as a new byelaw may prohibit kite surfing within the limits of the Harbour.

The new bylaw, the introduction of which is still pending, will aim to control kitesurfing for the benefit of the other 9,000 vessels which regularly use the harbour. The activity has been deemed to be incompatible with the safety and enjoyment of other users.
