British Coastal Marina of the Year has been awarded by the Yacht Harbour Association to Mayflower Marina in Plymouth.

Mayflower Marina has berthing for nearly 400 boats, boatyard services and an extensive range of onshore facilities. In 2012 Mayflower Marina was awarded TYHA’s 5 Gold Anchor award for maintaining the highest standards of facility and customer service.

The Marina of the Year award was made by Sarah Treseder, CEO of the Royal Yachting Association, and was received by Mayflower Marina’s Managing Director Charles Bush.

Mr Bush, said: ‘To have won this award by virtue of customer nomination makes it a particularly special achievement. Over the years we have invested heavily in the marina’s facilities and whilst that’s important it is people and relationships that matter most.’

Libby Gordon from TYHA said: ‘These awards are an excellent way to acknowledge the hard work that marina staff do not only in the UK, but all over the world.’
