The 250th Anniversary of the Lizard Lighthouse will be celebrated in Cornwall this Thursday, 22nd August

The Lizard Lighthouse, near Helston, has stood on the most southerly point in Britain, guiding vessels in from the Atlantic, for 250 years.

Entrance to the grounds is free and visitors are invited by Trinity House to join the celebrations including a concert performed by the Helston Brass Band at 1930. The historic air foghorn sounds at sunset with a firework finale.
