Pete Goss and Sir Edward Heath will feature in Shorelines '98, a literary festival to be held in Gosport and Fareham

Gosport and Fareham, Hampshire, are to host a Literature Festival with the sea as its theme. Shorelines ’98 will be opened on 16 November by Sir Edward Heath aboard the Lightship in Gosport’s Haslar Marina.

Another world-class yachtsman to feature among the celebrities at the Festival will be Pete Goss MBE. He will be talking about his book Close to the Wind, featured in YM, October, during an intimate evening at the Waterside Restaurant, Gosport, on 17 November.

Sir Edward will be signing copies of his autobigraphy The Course of My Life at the Gosport Book Shop between 1430 and 1530 following the opening ceremony.
