Joint British- French sea rescue trials

An Anglo-French sea rescue exercise has been successfully completed in the Channel to test communications between the two countries.

The Maritime & Coastguard Agency, RNLI, RAF and Fire Brigade joined forces with their French counterparts to collect man overboard dummies, fight on board fire and carry out a sea-tow.

The exercise marks the Entente Cordiale celebrations which this year underlines 100 years of Anglo-French co-operation.
