Enter now to avoid disappointment

The Royal Ocean Racing Club(RORC) Committee, organisers of the biennial Rolex Fastnet Race, have agreed that entries for the Rolex Fastnet Race 2007 will be limited to 300. Competitors intending to enter should submit entry forms as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. Final date for entries is Friday 27 July 2007.

The race has grown and grown from its humble beginning in 1925, when 7 cruisers embarked on a ‘friendly’ race to the Rock and back. The last Fastnet, in 2005, attracted a fleet of 283 yachts. This year’s edition of the race will start from the Royal Yacht Squadron, Cowes, at t0950 on Sunday 12 August. The fleet will head out of the Solent, across the Celtic Sea to the infamous Fastnet Rock, then return to finish off Plymouth.
