A new 300-berth marina for Falmouth has been given the green light

A new marina, to be built in the docks area between Queens and Duchy Wharves in Falmouth, has been given the go ahead.

A new floating breakwater will be built to protect the marina from prevailing winds, while enabling larger commercial vessels and superyachts to berth alongside.

The site will have 300 berths and full facilities, including a 300 space car park, and is hoped to be finished in time for the visit of the Tall Ships, which will come to the town in September next year.

David Ring, chief executive of A&P, which is building the marina, said: ‘This is great news for Falmouth and A&P.’
