The Sussex Cup Regatta is being celebrated with a huge firework display
Morris Dancers and fireworks will be on display at Eastbourne’s marina, Sovereign Harbour, this Easter weekend to celebrate the Sussex Cup Regatta and will be free to spectators.
The regatta, an annual event, is taking place in Eastbourne for the first time, and will involve crews from yacht clubs throughout the county, including Chichester, Shoreham, Brighton, Newhaven and Rye, as well as Eastbourne.
More than 40 craft, ranging from 21ft five ton cruising yachts to ocean going racing vessels at over 47ft and weighing in at more than 14 tons, will race in Eastbourne Bay from 10.30am to 4pm on both Saturday and Sunday.
