Entries for Yachting Monthly Triangle Race filling up fast

The 30th anniversary of the popular Yachting Monthly Triangle Race, 15 – 27 June 2014, looks set for another good entry.

Yachting Monthly Triangle Race takes place every two years and is a double handed challenge open to cruiser and racing monohull yachts of 25 feet LOA and over. The event is from Torquay to Kinsale in Southern Ireland, Kinsale to Treguier in Northern Brittany and from Treguier back to Torquay.

The 620 mile race is run over 12 days with fun stopovers for crews, particularly Treguier where there is a Boule and rowing competition.

The Yachting Monthly Triangle Race is organised by Royal Torbay Yacht Club and the Notice of Race is published on their website www.rtyc.org . Entries are limited to 50 yachts so intended entries need to be registered with Royal Torbay quickly.

The race was the brainchild of Andrew Bray, then editor of Yachting Monthly, and the first was held in 1984.
