Intrepid yachtswoman Dee Caffari, 36, has fully recovered from her dismasting in the Atlantic aboard Aviva, her Open 60, while competing in the Transat Jacques Vabre Race.
Dee spent two hours cutting the downed rig free with a hacksaw, before a Spanish tug towed her into La Coruna.
She is now preparing a new Open 60 Aviva 222, built in New Zealand, for the Vendee Globe Race later this year.
