The RYA are launching a voucher scheme at the London Boat Show in January, which is designed to create a 'boating currency' and act as an incentive for people to buy new yachts.

It will mean manufacturers and suppliers of boats and equipment will be able to offer £10, £20, £50 or £100 vouchers to customers in exchange for an RYA course in anything from the Yachtmaster course to Diesel Maintenance.

Over 200 RYA training centres, from all over the UK, have already agreed to accept the national vouchers in full or part payment for the courses they run.
