Premiums for boat insurance are soaring, but according to one main broker they are still a heck of a lot cheaper than car insurance.
Hill House Hammond compare insuring an Aston Martin Vanquish worth £165,000 with a £165,000 Nauticat 331. The car would cost £3,563 with a £1,500 excess whereas the boat would cost £741 with an excess of £375.
The quotes are based on fully comprehensive cover for a 40-year-old married male.
